Rainbow trouts measure advanced wastewater treatment

At the Neugut WWTP (Dübendorf/Wallisellen), an additional ozonation step is used to remove micropollutants from treated wastewater. But certain transformation products arising from this process are themselves not entirely free of toxic effects. Using juvenile rainbow trout, the Ecotox Centre is investigating how these substances can also be effectively eliminated.
