eDNA Day on June 3, 2019 in Geneva - Save the Date!

Quickly and cost-effectively determine all species in a water or sediment sample and thus assess environmental quality: such is the promise of studies with environmental DNA (eDNA), which could revolutionise water assessment with bioindicators in the future. On Monday, June 3, 2019 (9:00 - 17:00), the University of Geneva will host the eDNA Day (in French). There you can learn more about the determination of genetic indices, field studies on the use of eDNA in biomonitoring campaigns and (inter)national scientific advances. The results of the French-Swiss Interreg project "Cross-border SYNERGY for Biomonitoring and Preservation of AQUAtic Ecosystems" (SYNAQUA) will also be presented.
