Oekotoxzentrum in SRF Einstein on the risks of PFAS

PFAS, the ‘forever chemicals’, are contaminating water, soil, food and humans. Many PFAS are harmful to both humans and the environment. Yet despite the chronic toxicity of these substances, there is still too little meaningful data on exposure.

Risk specialist Alexandra Kroll talks to Katrin Hönegger from SRF Einstein about the significance of current PFAS contamination and assesses the situation. The programme examines contamination in water, soil and humans and presents new methods for removing PFAS from drinking water, slurry or wastewater.
