Video on World Standards Day

The Ecotox Centre participates in the standardisation work of the Swiss Standards Association (SNV) by promoting the standardisation of bioassays. Every year on 14 October, World Standards Day takes place, which aims to raise awareness of the global work in developing standards and norms and their importance.

This year, the theme of World Standards Day is "Shared Vision for a Better World". As the world faces many challenges in the areas of sustainable business, environmental protection and social justice, the UN has defined 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In short videos, SNV experts talk about how standardisation work contributes to the success of the SDGs. One of these experts is Cornelia Kienle from the Ecotox Centre, who heads the SNV working group on water quality.
